Well-being and Social Sustainability, Cross-Cultural Validation of an Emotional Metacognition Traits Scale in Brazilian Adolescents

In this work we aimed to examine the reliability and validity of a trait scale on emotional meta-cognition in large number subjects (> 11, 000 adolescent students) from private school network Brazil. Following up previous validation same Europe, proceed cross-cultural order analyze its feasibility assessing interpersonal intelligence. The study was proceeded during 2017 academic year, São Paulo, process included translations peer content all items original scale, pilot small sample broad survey hereby reported. We, then, internal consistency measurement factorial analysis, both exploratory confirmatory. Once analyses have been carried out compared emergent dimensions raised present research ones, validating instrument majority for intelligence new cultural set, as well elucidating subtle differences seen few items. Considering size, subject diversity loads each factor, conclude used is an useful tool mapping perceived Brazilian adolescents, which encourages self-knowledge informs needs competencies self-development.
